Write to your MP to request support for the Office Products Industry
Last month BOSS Chairman and CEO of Office Power, Simon Drakeford, wrote to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rt Hon Rishi Sunak, to request the Government support the Office Products Industry with the same urgency and consideration given to other sectors, such as hospitality and leisure.
Our industry depends on offices being open and operating at high capacity levels. Many office supplies dealers have been greatly affected since the nationwide initiative to work from home was introduced nearly two years ago. With new cases rising due to the latest variant Omicron, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced ‘Plan B’ measures would be implemented on December 13, reintroducing the work from home directive.
With little to no provisions available to fully support our industry, Simon urges that the Chancellor extends the grant scheme to the office products and services sector.
