Office Power team supports BOSS Charity Golf Day to help raise £12,000
Our team is very proud to have sponsored this year’s BOSS Charity Golf Day to help raise over £12,000. Overall, 24 teams entered this year’s golf competition, with a number of attendees also enjoying the spa facilities at the Belton Woods in Lincolnshire.
The BOSS Business Supplies Charity is the registered charity established to assist people and families who have worked or who currently work within the office supplies and services industry who may have fallen on hard times, or are unable to work due to disability or ill health. The minimum qualifying criteria is 2 years within the industry.
The fund is managed by a group of Trustees who meet twice a year, and who actively raise money via numerous fundraising events. This is supported by regional BOSS committees who help to raise awareness and funds at their events. The charity also receives generous donations from The Society of Old Friends and several individual donors.
Anyone who has ever worked in the industry, in whatever capacity, be it for a manufacturer, retailer, dealer, wholesaler, service provider or mail order company are eligible to apply for assistance. The Fund has helped many people through the years, by paying for new windows, school uniforms for children, mobility items or regular housekeeping costs – and many other needs.
The Office Power team led by our CEO Simon Drakeford and joined by dealer guests has enjoyed a fantastic day on the golf course and we are delighted that we could help to support such a great cause.
