Office Power hosted dealer forum and networking event at BOSS Federation
Office Power hosted their dealer forum and networking event at BOSS Federation on Friday 16th September. The event brought together the local dealer community to share ideas, learn from each other’s experiences and discuss the future of the dealer channel in an open forum.
Speakers from across the industry included Philip Lawson, CEO, BOSS Federation; Nicholas Bugden, eCommerce Manager, Stylus Stationers; Richard Ford, Sales and Marketing Director, Spicers and Simon Drakeford, Founder and CEO, Office Power. The discussions focused on the future of the industry, how local office supplies dealers are future proofing their businesses and what suppliers and industry bodies can do to support them with that.
The highlight of the day was when Nick and Kathy from Stylus Stationers shared their dramatic story about joining Office Power. On the morning of Monday 25th April 2016 suddenly and without warning the hard disk of the computer running their bespoke sales-order processing system died. By 2PM that afternoon, the Office Power team was putting together a plan to go live as soon as possible. By the morning of Wednesday the 27th everything was ready for the switch-over. The following morning Nick from Stylus flew out to Italy, safe in the knowledge that everything was under control and that the Office Power team was ensuring things ran smoothly. Nick and Kathy shared their plans for the future of the business and insights on what they do today in partnership with Office Power to grow and prosper.
The forum stimulated conversation which continued throughout the networking lunch.
