Abbotts takes pole position at first Power Racing event
Tim Crabtree’s Abbotts has lifted the trophy and sprayed the Champagne at the first ever Power Racing dealer networking event, which took place on the 8th of March near Reading pitting dealers in the West against those in the South.
28 dealers attended the two-day affair, which was sponsored by Office Power, and included a fiercely-contested Go Karting race followed by a Michelin-starred dinner and overnight stay. The event was designed so that local office supplies dealers could meet and network with other like-minded dealers, discuss the future of the office supplies industry, exchange ideas and plans of what they do in their businesses to ensure prosperous future, whilst having fun at the same time.
“The racing was superb fun and the meal was excellent and what a lovely group of people to socialise with! It was certainly a good way to meet new people from the industry and have interesting conversations about the industry outlook in the years to come,” said one of the dealers on the day.
The second – Northern – leg, dubbed the War of the Roses, will take place on 18 May 2017 where Yorkshire dealers will race against the Lancashire team and will celebrate together with a Michelin starred meal and an after party. Places on each team are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, please contact alina.fisher@officepower.net by 1st May to reserve your place on one of the teams.
“We had a fantastic day at the first Power Racing event, which was made all the sweeter by beating Mark Rostock’s west of England team!” said Tim Crabtree, managing director, Abbotts.
